2027 Whyte Karve RS Avinox Electric Mountain Bike – Dark Silver
Furiously Fast. Powerfully Capable.
The Whyte Karve RS brings together staggering Avinox power, confident 160mm suspension and Whyte’s renowned trail handling to create an electrifying full-power e-MTB.
At its heart is the compact Avinox M2S drive unit, delivering up to 150Nm of torque and 1,300W of peak power. The figures are incredible, but it’s the motor’s smooth, responsive and controllable delivery that makes the biggest impression on the trail. Power arrives exactly when you need it, helping you maintain traction and composure on steep, loose and technical climbs.
An 800Wh internal battery gives you the capacity for longer adventures and repeat runs, while the 160mm Quad-Link 4 suspension system, progressive geometry and aggressive Maxxis tyres give the Karve RS the control to charge confidently through demanding terrain.
This is a full-power e-MTB that doesn’t just make climbing easier—it helps you ride further, tackle more challenging trails and fit more descents into every ride.

Avinox M2S: Power You Need to Experience
The Avinox M2S is one of the most exciting drive systems in modern electric mountain biking.
Delivering up to 150Nm of maximum torque and 1,300W of peak power, it provides the strength to attack steep gradients and power through demanding technical sections. Despite its impressive output, the assistance is designed to feel smooth, predictable and responsive.
Five assistance modes let you adapt the bike to the terrain and the way you want to ride:
- Eco for maximising battery range
- Auto for intelligent, responsive assistance
- Trail for natural support on varied terrain
- Turbo for powerful sustained assistance
- Boost for maximum performance when you need it most
The discreet handlebar-mounted wireless controller keeps assistance adjustments within easy reach, while the integrated Avinox DPC100 OLED touchscreen provides clear, customisable ride information.
Connection to the Avinox Ride smartphone app gives you even greater insight and control over the system.
800Wh Battery for Bigger Days
The integrated 800Wh battery gives the Karve RS the capacity for long trail rides, big days in the hills and repeated descents.
Its internal positioning contributes to the bike’s clean appearance and balanced handling. The battery is fixed securely within the frame but can be removed for maintenance after removal of the motor.
Approximate charging times with the supplied 4A charger:
- 80% charge from empty: approximately 4 hours 54 minutes
- 100% charge from empty: approximately 6 hours 11 minutes
Actual range and charging performance can vary with rider weight, terrain, assistance mode, conditions and riding style.
160mm Quad-Link 4 Suspension
With 160mm of travel at both ends, the Karve RS is ready for aggressive trail riding, technical enduro terrain, bike-park laps and challenging back-country adventures.
Whyte’s proven Quad-Link 4 suspension platform is designed to provide grip, support and control across rough ground. The rear shock is custom-tuned to work with the frame, helping the bike remain composed when trails become steep, fast and unpredictable.
A RockShox Lyrik Select fork provides 160mm of controlled front suspension, while the RockShox Super Deluxe Select rear shock delivers dependable performance and adjustable rebound.
Proportional Geometry for Every Rider
The Karve RS uses proportional sizing across the full size range rather than applying the same dimensions to every frame.
The geometry, front centre, rear centre and suspension setup are refined for each size to help maintain balanced rider weight distribution and consistent handling. Whether you ride a Small or Extra Large, the goal is the same: confident climbing, predictable cornering and composed descending.
Frame-size-specific dropper-post travel also gives riders maximum clearance without compromising fit:
- Small: 150mm drop
- Medium: 170mm drop
- Large: 200mm drop
- Extra Large: 200mm drop
Adjustable High and Low Geometry
Whyte’s Shape. It Link V2 allows you to alter the bike’s geometry to suit your terrain and riding style.
The low position slackens the head angle by 0.6 degrees and lowers the bottom bracket by 8mm. This creates a more planted and stable feel for steep descents, high-speed trails and bike-park riding.
The high position provides increased pedal clearance and a more responsive setup for technical climbing, longer rides and varied everyday trails.
Full 29er With MX Compatibility
The Karve RS comes with 29in wheels at the front and rear, providing excellent rollover performance, stability and momentum across rough ground.
Riders looking for a more agile, corner-focused character can convert the bike to an MX setup with a 29in front wheel and 27.5in rear wheel.
Conversion requires:
- Whyte MX-specific Shape.It Link, part number WAMLINK07
- Suitable Category 4 enduro-rated 27.5in rear wheel
The correct conversion retains the ability to switch between the high and low geometry positions.
SRAM Eagle T-Type Transmission
The SRAM Eagle 90 mechanical T-Type rear derailleur provides strong, precise and dependable shifting under the demands of full-power e-MTB riding.
A wide-range 10–52-tooth, 12-speed cassette gives you the gearing needed for steep technical climbs while still allowing you to carry speed on faster trails.
The mechanical T-Type system combines modern transmission performance with straightforward operation and workshop servicing.
Powerful SRAM Maven Braking
With the speed and capability of the Karve RS comes serious stopping power.
SRAM Maven Base four-piston hydraulic brakes are paired with a large 220mm front rotor and 200mm rear rotor. Sintered brake pads provide dependable braking performance for long descents, wet trails and demanding year-round riding.
Aggressive Maxxis Tyres
The Karve RS comes equipped with a trail-ready Maxxis tyre combination:
- Front: Maxxis Assegai WT, 29 x 2.5in, 3C MaxxGrip and EXO+ casing
- Rear: Maxxis Minion DHR II WT, 29 x 2.5in, 3C MaxxTerra and DoubleDown casing
The Assegai provides confidence-inspiring front-end grip, while the Minion DHR II delivers powerful braking traction and predictable cornering. Both tyres are tubeless-ready.

- Technical trail riding
- Steep and challenging climbs
- Enduro trails
- Bike-park laps
- Fast natural descents
- Rough back-country terrain
