The Big Seven uses a 27.5″ wheel — ideal for smaller riders — combined with a more upright geometry that enhances control and trail visibility. Inboard disc brake mounts protect the braking system and maximise stopping power.Reliable Components for Everyday Trail Work
Featuring:SR Suntour XCT30 HLO 100mm fork with lockout for adaptable suspension control
Shimano 1×8 drivetrain, paired with Shimano hubs and chainset, offering smooth and dependable shifting
Shimano hydraulic disc brakes for consistent, powerful stopping performance
Built by Merida — a Legacy of Hardtail Mastery
With over 50 years of frame-building heritage, Merida’s Big Seven and Big Nine series are trusted for their durability and refined engineering. A clean setup, upgraded cockpit options, and thoughtful frame design mean you’re investing in longevity.
Fit & Size Matters
Merida’s dual hardtail line-up ensures the best match between riders and frame size. The Big Seven (27.5") is perfect for smaller riders focused on maneuverability, while taller riders or those chasing speed should consider the Big Nine (29"). The overlap at size Small lets riders choose based on riding style – agility versus efficiency.
