2026 Merida Silex 400 – Warm Slate Grey (Black)
The do-everything gravel bike built for adventure, not racing hype.
The 2026 Merida Silex 400 is a true gravel original. While much of the gravel world has split into pure race machines and expedition rigs, the Silex stays firmly focused on real-world adventure, versatility, and confidence-inspiring handling.
Built around a high-quality Lite II aluminium frame and a full carbon fork, the Silex 400 pairs MTB-inspired geometry with dependable Shimano GRX components, making it equally at home on canal paths, bridleways, winter roads, bikepacking trips, and daily riding.
This is why the Silex remains one of the best-selling and best-value gravel bikes on the market.

Designed From the Ground Up for Gravel
Unlike bikes adapted from road or cyclocross platforms, the Silex was a clean-sheet gravel design. Its long top tube, tall head tube, and short stem deliver a stable, upright riding position that inspires confidence when the surface turns rough.
This second-generation Silex frame also features a revised fork design, allowing you to swap to a suspension fork without altering the bike’s geometry – future-proofing your adventures.
With five sets of bottle bosses, rack mounts on the aluminium frame, internal dropper post routing, and dynamo compatibility, the Silex 400 is ready for everything from fast local loops to fully loaded multi-day trips.
And it’s no slouch either – just before the model’s launch, Matej Mohorič won the 2023 Gravel World Championships on a Silex, proving its off-road capability at the very highest level.
