Why the Silex 7000?
Gravel bikes have evolved – some focused on pure racing, others on pure adventure. The Silex embodies the spirit of freedom and exploration. It’s not just about speed, but about going further, finding new routes, and riding with confidence wherever the road (or trail) leads.
Proven pedigree: Just before the Silex launched, Matej Mohorič rode a Silex to victory at the 2023 Gravel World Championships.
Designed from the ground up with MTB-inspired geometry: longer top and head tubes, short stem, and a relaxed position for comfort and control on long days.
Future-proof design: revised fork allows for suspension fork upgrades without compromising handling.
Heat-dissipating Disc Cooler fins on carbon models reduce braking temperatures by up to 35%, critical for fully loaded descents.
The Verdict
The 2026 Merida Silex 7000 isn’t just a gravel bike—it’s a call to adventure. With its cutting-edge carbon frame, Shimano’s GRX 1x12 groupset, and a wheelset built to take a beating, it’s equally at home on epic bikepacking trips, local gravel loops, or long days exploring the road less travelled.
