AVINOX M2 – SERIOUS E-BIKE PERFORMANCE

At the heart of the Secta-E is the Avinox M2 drive system.

It delivers up to:

⚡ 120Nm maximum torque
⚡ 1,000W peak power
⚡ 250W nominal power

There are five power modes, including Auto and Boost, allowing the bike to adapt its assistance to different situations.

But numbers only tell part of the story.

What matters when you're actually riding is having assistance that makes steep climbs more manageable, allows you to cover greater distances and helps make riding more enjoyable.

That's exactly what the Avinox system brings to the Secta-E. 

800WH BATTERY – BUILT FOR BIG DAYS

Sizes Small through Extra Large receive a substantial 800Wh integrated Avinox battery, while the smaller XS uses a lighter 600Wh battery.

Whyte quotes a real-world maximum range of up to 125km / 77 miles.

Actual range will naturally depend on rider weight, terrain, weather, tyres, assistance level and numerous other factors, but the capacity gives the Secta-E serious potential for longer adventures.

130MM SUSPENSION + WHYTE HANDLING

Whyte has deliberately positioned the Secta-E between a conventional leisure e-bike and a much more aggressive full-suspension electric mountain bike.

The aluminium hardtail chassis is paired with a 130mm Suntour XCR36X suspension fork, providing enough travel to take the sting out of rough trails, rocks, roots and broken surfaces.

Sizes S–XL use 29in wheels, helping the bike roll smoothly over rough terrain, while the smaller XS uses proportionally appropriate 27.5in wheels.

Combine that with Whyte's Total Geometry approach and you've got an e-bike designed to feel stable, predictable and confidence-inspiring across everything from roads and country lanes to woodland and proper trails. 

A DROPPER POST MAKES MORE DIFFERENCE THAN YOU MIGHT THINK

Every Secta-E comes with a remote-operated dropper seatpost.

Press the handlebar lever and the saddle lowers underneath you.

For mountain bikers, that gives considerably more room to move around the bike when descending.

But there's another benefit that's particularly useful for newer or less confident riders.

Lower the saddle when you're stopping or starting and suddenly getting your feet down becomes much easier.

Then simply press the lever and the saddle returns to your normal pedalling height.

It's a small detail that can make the bike much easier and more confidence-inspiring to use.

SMART E-BIKE TECHNOLOGY

The Avinox system also gives the Secta-E some impressive connected technology.

There's an integrated Avinox DPC100 OLED display in the top tube together with a discreet wireless handlebar controller.

Connect your smartphone through the Avinox Ride app and you can access additional battery and range information, route planning and navigation, ride personalisation and smart security functionality.

It keeps the handlebars relatively uncluttered while still putting the information you need within easy reach.
