At the heart of the Whyte Secta-E is the impressive Avinox M2 drive system.

There are five assistance modes, including Auto and Boost, allowing you to tailor the assistance to the terrain and how you want to ride.
But numbers only tell part of the story.

130MM SUSPENSION + WHYTE HANDLING
Whyte has positioned the Secta-E perfectly between a conventional leisure e-bike and a much more aggressive full-suspension electric mountain bike.
The tough 6061-T6 aluminium hardtail frame is paired with a 130mm Suntour XCR36X suspension fork, providing enough travel to absorb rough trails, rocks, roots, potholes and broken surfaces.
Sizes Small through XL use 29in wheels, helping the bike roll smoothly over rough terrain, while the smaller XS uses proportionally appropriate 27.5in wheels.
Combine that with Whyte's confidence-inspiring geometry and you've got an e-bike designed to feel stable, predictable and comfortable across everything from roads and country lanes to woodland and proper mountain bike trails.
DO YOU REALLY NEED FULL SUSPENSION?
It's an important question.
Full-suspension electric mountain bikes are brilliant, but not everybody needs one.
If most of your riding consists of bridleways, forest tracks, canal paths, country lanes, gravel tracks, local trails and occasional more technical off-road sections, a capable electric hardtail can make a lot of sense.
There's less complexity, less maintenance and a significantly lower purchase price.

DROPPER POST – NOT JUST FOR SERIOUS MOUNTAIN BIKERS
Every Whyte Secta-E comes with a remote-operated dropper seatpost.
Press the handlebar lever and the saddle lowers underneath you.
Mountain bikers use this to create more room to move around the bike when descending, but there's another benefit that's particularly useful for newer or less confident riders.
Lower the saddle when you're stopping or starting and suddenly getting your feet down becomes much easier.
Then simply press the lever and the saddle returns to your normal pedalling position.
It's one of those features many riders don't realise they need until they've used one.
SMART AVINOX TECHNOLOGY
